Morocco have knocked Spain out of the World Cup on penalties!
Spain failed to convert any of their penalties and it resulted in a 3-0 shootout victory for Morocco who now go into the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.
Morocco only managed to finish with 23% possession as Spain dominated the ball but didn’t create many chances in fact they only managed ONE shot on target all game.
It is another disappointing World Cup for the once-dominant Spain who just didn’t look creative all game.
Morocco, on the other hand, should be very proud and have played some excellent football along with a solid defence all tournament.
They will now face the winner of Portugal and Switzerland in the quarterfinal.
