Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has left fans shocked after showing off his huge physique after leading La Roja to their 2024 European Championship triumph.
De La Fuente became Spain manager in 2022, replacing Luis Enrique who had a poor outing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and has gone on to win two trophies since taking charge.
It has been a meteoric rise for the 63-year-old, who was previously in charge of the U18s and U21s squads before being appointed as the coach of Spain’s first team.
Since his appointment, he helped La Roja win the UEFA Nations League last year, and has now added the European championship to his trophy cabinet with Spain’s exciting young side.
But it’s not just squads that De La Fuente seems to good at building – fans got a shock when he got himself back in the gym following his side’s Euro 2024 victory, with the Spain manager showing off a huge physique while pushing weights.
A well-kept body shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, with the tactician himself being a former footballer for Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla and Deportivo Alavés during his career.
However, fans were still taken aback by the conditioning of De La Fuente, with a video of the coach performing concentration curls grabbing heir attention on Instagram.
One fan commented “Más fuerte que el vinagre”, which translates to “stronger than vinegar”, whilst many more joined in commenting on De La Fuente’s post.
Clearly de la Fuente’s discipline and planning extends to his own personal fitness, as well as of the performance of his squads, with the Spain manager looking in great shape following his side’s European success.
