Manchester United ready to SMASH club transfer fee RECORD

Manchester United are reportedly keen to bolster their midfield options and have identified Eduardo Camavinga as a potential target.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined Real Madrid in 2021 for £26million from Rennes and has been seen as a long-term replacement for Casemiro.

However, since Casemiro’s departure, Camavinga has enjoyed a more prominent role in the team and Los Blancos currently value him at £115m.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are ready to smash their transfer fee record for the French international.

This would surpass the £89m United paid for Paul Pogba in 2016, making Camavinga the most expensive signing in the club’s history.

The move makes sense for the Red Devils who have been lacking in midfield depth and quality in recent years. Camavinga is a technically gifted midfielder who possesses great defensive qualities and is comfortable in possession.

He has already earned six caps for the French national team and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Europe.

Man United manager Erik ten Hag is known to be a keen admirer of Camavinga and sees him as the ideal addition to his midfield but at such a high price, is it a gamble or a risk that will pay off for the Manchester club?

Despite the La Liga side’s reluctance to sell, United may still try to persuade them to part ways with Camavinga but they may have to dig deep into their pockets to land the French star.

Real Madrid currently sit 2nd in La Liga behind Barcelona.
