Raheem Sterling Charged After £270,000 Lamborghini Crash on M3

🚨 Former England international Raheem Sterling has been charged with dangerous driving following a crash involving his £270,000 Lamborghini on the M3 in Hampshire.

The 31-year-old was involved in a single-vehicle collision near the Minley Interchange on May 28, with police initially arresting him on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs. No other vehicles were involved and, thankfully, no injuries were reported.

New footage has since emerged appearing to show Sterling’s Lamborghini veering across several lanes of the motorway shortly before the crash. The footage has attracted significant attention online as details of the incident continue to emerge.

Sterling has now been charged with dangerous driving, possession of nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen. Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas or “hippy crack”, has been a Class C controlled substance in the UK since November 2023.

The footage of also appears to show Sterling holding what has been described in reports as a balloon. However, the footage alone does not prove what was inside it, so those details should be treated with caution.

Sterling is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on September 15.

The former Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal winger is currently without a club after his short spell with Feyenoord came to an end.

The incident comes during an extremely difficult period for Sterling, who has endured a dramatic fall from being one of England’s most important players to becoming a free agent.

The legal process will now determine exactly what happened on the M3 and whether Sterling is found guilty of the charges against him.
