He had been considering his options after leaving LA Galaxy, but has decided to cease playing completely.

Man Utd Fans Attempt Overnight Stay To Get Into Arsenal Game
On Friday night some bold United fans hid in the toilets overnight to try and get into the Arsenal game on Saturday.
They were on a stadium tour and managed to sneak away from the group and bunker down for the night.
Unfortunately they were busted the next morning during a routine security check.
Defoe Joins 150 Club
During their Hull clash on Sunday, Sunderland player Jermaine Defoe became just the 8th player to bag 150 goals in the Premier League.
He now sits alongside some huge names in the history of the competition, and is perhaps the most unexpected entry.
The other 7 players welcoming defore include Alan Shearer, Andy Cole, Frank Lampard, Michael Owen, Thierry Henry, Robbie Fowler and Wayne Rooney.
Zlatan Getting A Statue
The one and only Ibrahimovic won his 10th successive crown as Sweden’s top player of the year.
This incredible feat has landed him the honour of being commemorated with his own statue, that will sit outside Sweden’s premier football stadium in Stockholm.
I doubt Zlatan is even shocked.
