Leicester City are due to imminently announce their new club manager according to BBC Radio Leicester.
Both fans and the club board will be keen to put the managerial turmoil behind them as they attempt to qualify for the Champions League quarter finals in just 7 days. A tie in which the dismissed manager Claudio Ranieri had given them hope just a few days before his sacking.
In Ranieri’s place it is reported that caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare has beaten dozens of more qualified managers. He will apparently secure the position as the permanent manager until at least the end of the 2016/17 season.
It remains to be seen whether Shakespeare can continue the role through to next season. No doubt a solid showing in the Champions League and a mid-table finish in the Premier League will do his cause no harm.
